Rich Horton recently posted a summary of Analog magazine’s 2007 fiction. Of the 63 short pieces published (short stories, novella, novelettes):

7 of 62 stories for which I think I know the gender of the writer are by women. (I cannot make a guess as to the gender of C. W. Johnson.) That’s just over 11%. Last year there were 4 stories by women (3 solo stories and two collaborations) out of 57, just about 7%.

Hm. I’ll definitely be interested in seeing the 2008 numbers when we get to that point.
